Château La Tour de By has been a familyowned estate since 1965. It is now managed by Marc Pagès’ grandsons: Frederic Le Clerc as Managing Director and Benjamin Richer de Forges as Commercial Director. The vineyard, which stretches over 110 ha, is ideally located on two gravel slopes at the Northern tip of the Médoc peninsula. Located 80 km from Bordeaux, La Tour de By is surrounded by the Gironde River and the Atlantic Ocean.

Our Great Wine is made with the best vines of our gravelly terroir, located 200 m away from the Gironde River.
It is an elegant, fine wine, with a great freshness and a fruity taste.
This wine has a nice tannic structure and can be aged for up to 20 years.
Terroir : girondine gravels.
Age of vines : 40 - 50 years.
Blend : 60 % Cabernet ; 35 % Merlot ; 5 % Petit Verdot.
Maturation : 12 months in 1/3 new French oak barrels, 1/3 in 1 year French oak barrels, 1/3 in 2 years French oak barrels.
Ageing : 15 to 20 years.

In 1982, Marc Pagès and his friend, Professor Emile Peynaud, decided to elaborate an Exceptional Cuvee to bring to light the wonderful qualities of the Château La Tour de By vineyard. This Cuvee is a tribute to Marc Pagès, the owner of La Tour de By.
Terroir : girondine gravels.
Age of vines : > 50 years.
Blend : 80 % Cabernet Sauvignon et 20 % Merlot.
Maturation : 18 months in French oak barrels, new and 1 year.
Ageing : 20 to 30 years.

La Roque de By is the name of the first property (18th century), which was annexed to La Tour de By in the 19th century. This vines sit on a gravelly-clay terroir.
Terroir : girondine gravels, clay and limestone.
Age of vines : 35 years.
Blend : 50 % Cabernet Sauvignon ; 50 % Merlot.
Maturation : 10 months in French oak tank and 6 to 9 months in French oak barrels of 1 year.
Ageing : 10 years.

For 150 years, five generations of wine-makers have successively managed this jewel of the Médoc region, 7,5 ha wide. With a dark, ruby colour, this fine and silky wine has a great length on the palate.

Maturation : 10 months in French wooden tank.
